New Graphic Novel SILVER: OF TREASURES AND THIEVES Looks Like A Super Fun Dracula Themed Heist
Stephan Franck, a supervising animator on The Iron Giant, is ready to tell us a new story filled with charm and vampires. Silver: Of Treasures And Thieves is a new graphic novel set to release on October 25 that will star down on his luck James Finnigan.
After losing his grifter gang’s entire fortune in a heist gone wrong, James stumbles upon the consolation prize of a lifetime in the crypt of the Harker Foundation: a notebook that tells of an ancient and immeasurable treasure along with a bar of pure silver to prove it.
Those familiar with Dracula can already guess the catch, this famed treasure is hidden in a castle full of vampires. This noir pulp story is set in the 1930s and is a genre bending story that draws on the best of gothic horror and heist tropes to tell a story that is pure adventure.
It invites us to accept that Bram Stoker’s Dracula was a tale of fact rather than fiction. As someone who is currently reading that book, this graphic novel sounds amazing.
