Promo Teaser and Story Details for HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY with Jodie Foster and Kali Reis
HBO has released a new promo teaser and photo for True Detective: Night Country, and it introduces us to the lead detective characters in the story played by Jodie Foster and Kali Reis. As you can see, they are investigating in the darkness of the Arctic.
The next series in the franchise comes from Issa López (Tigers Are Not Afraid), and it centers around Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro “who are looking to solve the case of six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanishing without a trace, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska.”
It’s explained that the “The pair will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”
The series also stars John Hawkes (Deadwood, Winter’s Bone), Christopher Eccleston (The Leftovers), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Finn Bennett (Domina) and Anna Lambe (Three Pines).
This will be the show’s first season without creator Nic Pizzolatto. I’ve enjoyed the stories that have been told in this franchise, and this one sounds like it’s going to be an interesting and intense one! Check out the teaser below.
