New Image of Laura Dern Gives Us Another Look at Her Character from THE LAST JEDI

Even after the official trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi dropped we still didn't see Laura Dern‘s character Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo. But at the same time it’s important to note that Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico and Benicio del Toro’s DJ were also abscent in the new footage. For some reason Lucasfilm doesn't want us to know too much about them, I guess.

But a new image of Dern as the pink-haired Resistance leader popped up online and you can check it out below.

The image came from John Hoey of Star Wars News Net, who says that it was unveiled on The Ellen Show, where Dern was a guest. You can watch her interview below if you want.

This is technically our second image of Holdo, who first popped up in that Star Wars Celebration reel from last summer. But this image actually puts her in her proper surroundings: briefing a room full of soldiers, pilots, technicians, and droids.

There's still a lot we don't know about the character Holdo, but we do know that she's a big cheese in the Resistance. It was also revealed in a new Star Wars novel that she has known Leia Organa for a long time and was an ally of the rebels during the Galactic Civil War. During interviews, Dern has also talked about handling a blaster on set, so we at least know that Holdo is willing to get her hands dirty.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to open on December 15, 2017.

Actress Laura Dern assured Ellen she is in the "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and even recalled an unforgettable story about her legendary co-star, Carrie Fisher.
