New Images and August Release Date Revealed for AMC Spinoff Anthology Series TALES OF THE WALKING DEAD
New images and an August release date have been revealed for the upcoming spinoff anthology series, Tales of The Walking Dead. The AMC show is set to star Samantha Morton, who played the character Alpha in the flagship series The Walking Dead, as well as Daniella Pineda, Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Jillian Bell, Anthony Edwards, Poppy Liu, and Olivia Munn.
The series is being directed by Haifaa al-Mansour (Good Lord Bird), Deborah Kampmeier (Star Trek: Picard), Tara Nicole Weyr (The Wilds), and Michael Satrazemis (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead), with The Walking Dead’s Channing Powell set as showrunner.
The show will tell standalone stories about both new and returning characters. It will be the fourth series in the Walking Dead universe, followed by a spinoff centered on Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) also in the works, along with a Maggie/Negan-centered spinoff series titled Isle of the Dead that will be set in New York City.
