New International AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Poster Shows Marvel's Heroes Facing the End of the Multiverse

Marvel's heroes are in serious trouble in Avengers: Doomsday, and a newly released international poster gives us a new dire tease at what's coming. The Korean poster puts Doctor Doom front and center as two entire worlds collide, teasing the massive destruction awaiting the MCU.

The poster features several major characters from the film's enormous cast, including Gambit, Loki, Steve Rogers, Captain America, Shuri, Professor X, Bucky Barnes, Thor, Cyclops, Mister Fantastic, and Yelena Belova. Looming over everyone is a masked Doctor Doom, making it pretty clear who's going to be causing problems for Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The most interesting detail, though, is what's happening in the background. The poster appears to show two worlds physically crashing into each other, giving fans one of their clearest looks yet at an incursion.

While the trailers for Avengers: Doomsday have largely kept these catastrophic events hidden, the new artwork offers a better idea of just how destructive the multiverse's collapse could become.

It also raises some interesting questions about the fate of the X-Men. The imagery suggests that Earth-10005, the universe associated with Fox's X-Men movies, could be among the realities facing destruction.

Marvel has been building toward incursions for years. The concept was introduced in the post-credits scene of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, when Clea appeared and warned Doctor Strange about an incursion that needed to be stopped.

More recently, bonus footage from Avengers: Endgame Encore teased the Time Variance Authority's reaction to the multiverse falling apart. The new poster offers a much more frightening perspective on what that disaster could actually look like.

Director Joe Russo previously discussed the importance of these events during an interview explaining that the MCU is heading into some seriously dangerous territory.

"It’s the most profound thing that's ever happened to the MCU. It is the perceived end of times. Everything the TVA was set up to do is to protect the timelines from collapsing, and now they're in a catastrophic collapse."

That's a pretty massive problem, even for the Avengers. Of course, the biggest questions remain unanswered. What's causing these incursions? Can the Avengers prevent the destruction of multiple realities? What role does Doctor Doom play in bringing everything crashing down?

The new poster certainly does a great job of selling the scale of the disaster, and it'll be interesting to see just how much of the multiverse survives when the dust settles.

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
