New Japanese Trailer for MORBIUS Featuring an Introduction From Jared Leto
Sony Pictures has released a new Japanese trailer for its upcoming Marvel film Morbius. The film stars Jared Leto in the title role, and this latest trailer features an introduction from the actor. The trailer shows off some new footage and highlights the powers that Morbius has.
This movie looks better than I initially thought it would be. Maybe Sony actually learned a thing or two while working with Marvel on the Spider-Man films. I guess we’ll find out when the movie is eventually released.
Morbius, a.k.a. Dr. Michael Morbius, is "a scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease and attempted to cure himself to disastrous results. Instead of being cured, he became afflicted with a condition that was a form of vampirism — the thirst for blood, along with fangs and super strength — and fought Spider-Man. Over time, however, he became a slightly heroic figure in his own right and even headlined his own comic book titles.”
Leto is joined by Jared Harris (Mad Men, The Crown, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, The Terror) in the film along with Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim Uprising) as play Martine Bancroft, who was engaged to Morbius before he accidentally turned himself into a vampire. She ends up becoming a potential victim as Morbius learns to cope with his insatiable bloodlust. Matt Smith is also in the film and plays Loxias Crown.
The movie was directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House, Life) from a script that was written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama (Lost in Space), and it will be release on March 19th, 2021.
