New JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM Featurette Promises More Dinosaurs Than Ever
Apparently, it's National Dinosaur Day and Universal Pictures is celebrating by sharing a new featurette for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which promises that there will be more dinosaurs than ever in this movie. That's cool and all, but regardless of how many dinosaurs are in the film, I just want it to have a good story.
They have also announced that you can enter a sweepstakes today to adopt a dinosaur. They've revealed information on this whole thing on Instagram and Twitter. Here's this info they've shared.
For a chance to win #DPG prizes, visit AdoptADino.com, download your Certificate of Adoption, and share your certificate with #AdoptADino & #DPGSweepstakes on Twitter it Instagram.
No, unfortunately, you're obviously not going to adopt a real dinosaur! Anyway, enjoy the new featurette which includes some fun new footage of dinosaurs. There's also some cool behind the scenes footage of the creation of the dinosaurs, and it's explained that the new genetically modified Endo Raptor is a psychopathic murderous beast. It even shows that some of the dinos were brought to life using motion capture.
Here's the synopsis:
It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) is directing the film and it looks like he did some awesome stuff with it! The movie stars Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, James Cromwell as Benjamin Lockwood, Justice Smith and Toby Jones. And of course Jeff Goldblum's return to the role of Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set to be released on June 22, 2018.
