New JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM TV Spot Features The T-Rex Face Off With a Lion
Universal Pictures has released a new TV spot for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and it offers fans a good amount of new footage, some of which is visually cool. In it, Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) warns that by resurrecting "the most lethal predators this planet has ever seen" we've entered a new era of "Jurassic World", and he seems kind of terrified by the notion.
There is one scene shown in the spot that I loved and it features the T-Rex facing down a lion in a zoo. I know the film looks a lot like Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park sequel The Lost World, but this still looks like a good movie that will deliver some quality entertainment. I love this franchise, so it's hard not to be excited about what will happen in this next chapter of the story!
Here's the synopsis:
It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) is directing the film and it looks like he did some awesome stuff with it! The movie stars Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, James Cromwell as Benjamin Lockwood, Justice Smith and Toby Jones. Oh, and how can I forget Jeff Goldblum's return to the role of Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set to be released on June 22, 2018.
