New JURASSIC WORLD Movie Title Reportedly Revealed
The title for the upcoming Jurassic World movie has reportedly been revealed. According to inside scooper Daniel Richtman, the official title of the film will be Jurassic World: Rebirth.
This hasn’t been confirmed, but the title has been trademarked, so the title is certainly a possibility.
The Universal Pictures film has been in production since mid-June with Gareth Edwards directing from a script by original Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp.
The film is said to be “a completely fresh take launching a new Jurassic era,” and the story will follow “three adults and three teens getting stuck on the Island.”
The film’s star Scarlett Johansson previously talked about her excitement for the project saying: "Everything. I'm an enormous Jurassic Park fan. It's one of the first films I remember seeing in the theater. I remember seeing it so vividly. It was like life-changing. It was mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am."
She then talked about the script for the film, saying: "The script is so incredible. David Koepp wrote it. He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He's so passionate about it, which is so awesome."
The actress then added that she has been pushing to work on this franchise since it returned to theaters in the 2010s.
She explained: "I'm such an enormous fan of the franchise and huge nerd for it. I'm just like, I can't even, I'm pinching myself.
“I've been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years. I'm like, 'I'll die in the first five minutes! I can get eaten by whatever! I'll do the craft service!' I'll do anything for it. The fact that it's happened in this way at this time just is actually unbelievable. I can't believe it."
The movie is produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, and the rest of the cast includes Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise and David Iacono.
Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures will release the film on July 2, 2025.
