New "Justice League" Promo Spot for THE LEGO MOVIE 2
I’ve got a fun new promo spot here for you to watch for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. It’s called “Justice League,” and it features the DC superhero team assembling to defend Bricksburg from an alien invasion.
I’m looking forward to this movie. It looks like it’s going to be a fun and comedic adventure that fans of the first film are going to enjoy. It’s definitely taking the story in very different direction than I was expecting.
The much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, global box office phenomenon that started it all, “The LEGO® Movie 2: The Second Part,” reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.
The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.
The cast includes Chris Pratt as Emmet and the new character Rex Dangervest, Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle, Will Arnett as Batman, Channing Tatum as Superman, and Jonah Hill as Green Lantern. Then there's Tiffany Haddish, who will be voicing a new lead character in the movie. The cast also includes Alison Brie as Unikitty and Nick Offerman as Metal Beard.
The movie will be directed by Mike Mitchell (Trolls, Shrek Forever After, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water). Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who wrote and directed The LEGO Movie, wrote the first draft of the sequel's script which was then re-written by BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg. In addition, Lord and Miller will serve as producers.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is set for release on February 8, 2019.
