New Live-Action INSPECTOR GADGET Movie Being Brought to the Big Screen by Disney
We’ve got another classic character coming to the big screen with a new Inspector Gadget movie. The film is being made by Disney and will be written by SNL star and writer Mikey Day and SNL writer Streeter Seidell, who are also penning the script for the upcoming Home Alone remake.
Inspector Gadget was a favorite cartoon series of mine in the ‘80s. It went on to have another series and two films, but nothing really lived up to the original cartoon in my opinion. Maybe just because I was a little too old for the franchise by that point. But I think with the right writing it could really be a fun movie that my kids will love.
The series followed a bumbling detective with a penchant for inventions built inside his coat… that don’t always go according to plan. He is often assisted by his niece Penny, and finds himself battling his nemesis, Dr. Claw.
