New Look at Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam in Costume on Magazine Covers

Thanks to Total Film we have a couple of new magazine covers featuring Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam in the upcoming DC films. One photo offers us a much more detailed look at the Black Adam suit. The other is a closeup of Johnson’s face with a hood pulled over his head. You can check out both of this covers below.

Johnson is insanely excited about this movie, and he’s said on multiple occasions that he was born to play this role. He also hyped up the film saying that the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change with this movie.

Black Adam also stars Aldis Hodge (Underground, The Invisible Man), who plays Hawkman in the film, and he and Johnson are joined by Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I Love Before, Charlie's Angels) as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets, Euphoria) as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye, Mamma Mia!) as Doctor Fate, as well as Sarah Shahi (Person of Interest, The L Word), Marwan Kenzari (The Old Guard, Aladdin), and Uli Latukefu (Young Rock), who have been cast in unspecified roles.

Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) is directing Black Adam, and the most recent script was written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Adam Sztykiel wrote the previous draft.

Black Adam will hit theaters on July 29th, 2022.
