New MORBIUS Clip Shows Jared Leto Transform Into a Vampire and Attack
Over the weekend, Sony Pictures released a new clip from their upcoming Marvel movie Morbius. The clip features Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) and his fellow doctor, Martine Bancroft (Adria Arjona), on a ship at sea being held captive. It doesn’t look like they are in the best situation, but that all changes when Morbius transforms into a vampire and brutally attacks the armed men on the ship.
The clip gives us our best look yet at some of the action that we’ll see in the films, specifically the character’s crazy fighting style. I dig it!
The film follows "a scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease and attempted to cure himself to disastrous results. Instead of being cured, he became afflicted with a condition that was a form of vampirism — the thirst for blood, along with fangs and super strength — and fought Spider-Man. Over time, however, he became a slightly heroic figure in his own right and even headlined his own comic book titles.”
Leto is joined by Jared Harris (Mad Men, The Crown, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, The Terror) in the film along with Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim Uprising) as Martine Bancroft, who was engaged to Morbius before he accidentally turned himself into a vampire. She ends up becoming a potential victim as Morbius learns to cope with his insatiable bloodlust. Matt Smith is also in the film and plays Loxias Crown. Oh yeah! Michael Keaton is back as Vulture!
The film was directed by Daniel Espinosa, and it will be released in theaters January 28th, 2022.
