New Movie Posters for MONSTER HUNTER Featuring Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa Wielding Monster-Killing Weapons
Sony Pictures has shared two new posters for director Paul W.S. Anderson’s feature film adaptation of the popular Capcom video game Monster Hunter. The posters feature Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa, and as you’ll see, they are wielding some big-ass monster-killing weapons! I’m actually pretty excited to see how this movie turns out. I really hope that it’s good!
Jovovich is wielding a Great Sword known as the Giant Jawblade, while Jaa is holding the Great Hunter’s Bow. Jovovich is playing an original character created for the film named Natalie Artemis. Jaa is the badass Hunter, and his look is patterned after the Field Team Leader from Monster Hunter: World.
I like the style of the posters and the desert setting they're in is based on the look of Monster Hunter: World's Wildspire Wastes area.
Here’s the previously released synopsis:
Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, revolting attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man who has found a way to fight back.
Monster Hunter will be released on September 4, 2020.
