New PEACEMAKER Featurette Focuses on the Crazy BFFs Peacemaker and Vigilante

A new featurette for James Gunn’s Peacemaker has been released, and it explores the unique, strange, and crazy dynamic between John Cena’s Peacemaker and his BFF Freddie Stroma’s Vigilante. This is certainly a wild dynamic duo.

The video includes Cena, Gunn, and Stroma talking about the series and the relationship between Peacemaker and Vigilante. It also offers up new footage of the two having a ton of fun blowing up stuff in the woods.

It’s explained that by day Vigilante is a busboy at a restaurant, and by night he transforms into a crusader of justice. Also, Vigilante looks up to Peacemaker and sees himself as his best friend.

The relationship between these two characters is an interesting one as Peacemaker sees Vigilante as an "annoying younger brother," but, at the same time they're both willing to do "atrocious" things in the name of justice.

Peacemaker is described as being an action-adventure comedy, and it will “explore the origins of Peacemaker, a man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.” The question is… is Peacemaker a redeemable character? Can Gunn actually pull that off? It looks like he’s going to try!

Gunn wrote the Peacemaker series, and he directed five episodes. Peacemaker premieres January 13, 2022, on HBO Max.
