New Photo From DUNE Features Zendaya as Chani
Thanks to Zendaya (Spider-Man: Far From Home), we’ve got a new photo from Dune to share with you featuring her character Chani.
Chani is a member of the nomadic people known as the Fremen. They are indigenous to the desert planet Arrakis. She encounters Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and his mother Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) soon after they arrive, and becomes the young royal's love interest.
Here’s the synopsis for the film, which is based on Frank Herbert’s classic sci-fi novel:
A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.
The film’s incredible cast also includes Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto Atreides, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Harkonnen, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Charlotte Rampling as Reverend Mother Mohiam, David Dastmcalchian as Piter De Vries, Chang Chen as Dr. Yueh, and Dave Bautista as the Baron’s nephew Rabban.
Dune will be a two-part film and it’s being directed by Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049) and it’s set to be released on November 20th, 2020.
