New Photo of General Hux in THE LAST JEDI with New Details on His Story Arc
Domhnall Gleeson will be back in action as General Hux in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and he's looking to prove to Supreme Leader Snoke that he is the better right-hand man. Today we have a new photo thanks to Empire featuring the character deep in contemplative thought. We also have some new details to share with you that shed a bit more light on this mysterious First Order villain. Gleeson had this to say in an interview:
"Because of what happened in the first film, he's been pushed to a place where his position is in real jeopardy, and people make really bad decisions when they get desperate. Hux and Kylo Ren are vying for power and for Snoke's attention. They’re both contenders for the throne and Hux is hoping Ren explodes, so that he can take up the mantle. He knows it will be a battle otherwise, one he may very well lose."
I really like this struggle of power within the First Order. We got a little taste of the rivalry between Hux and Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens, but things are obviously going to start to heat up and get a little more intense as the story presses forward.
I wonder if we'll eventually see a showdown between the two characters. But in the end we know they will both lose because the good will triumph over evil!
