New Photo of Live-Action MULAN as She Heads Into Battle
We’ve got a cool new photo for you to check out from Disney’s upcoming live-action Mulan, where we see her suited up and ready to head into battle. The film stars Yifei Liu in the title role of a young woman who takes her elderly father’s place in order to head into battle and fight off invaders from the north who are attacking China. Mulan faces her fears in an uphill battle to convince her fellow comrades and herself that she has what it takes to become a fearless warrior.
The action-adventure movie that follows “a fearless young woman who masquerades as a man in order to fight Northern Invaders attacking China. The eldest daughter of an honored warrior, Hua Mulan is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. When the Emperor issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army, she steps in to take the place of her ailing father as Hua Jun, becoming one of China’s greatest warriors ever.”
Mulan also stars Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Ron Yuan, Tzi Ma, Rosalind Chao, Cheng Pei-Pei, Nelson Lee, Chum Ehelepola, with Gong Li and Jet Li, and Niki Caro directing. Mulan hits theaters on March 27th, 2020.
