New Photo of Michael Myers Being a Creepy Murderous Stalker in HALLOWEEN
We've got a fresh new photo from the upcoming Halloween movie that was developed by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. It offers us another look at Michael Myers being his old creepy murderous self.
The photo comes from EW, and while talking to the magazine, Jamie Lee Curtis talks about the script for the film saying:
"What I loved is that it surgically excises all of that dead tissue. This is growing from just that original movie, 40 years later. There may be people who love the other movies, great — [they have] zero relevance to this story."
Green goes on to say that his Halloween film doesn’t entirely ignore the other sequels:
"This film isn’t one to narratively recognize any of the films other than the original Halloween. But we very much enjoy the other films and there’s a lot of very subtle shout-outs to a number of things that I think the big fans — the people that know the films scientifically — will get a kick out of, hopefully."
The movie is a direct sequel to the first film and it will feature Laurie Strode confront Michael Myers for the first time in forty years. When we catch up with her in the film, she has spent all those years preparing to kill Michael Myers if he ever ended up getting out of the insane asylum that he's been locked away in. Obviously, he does get out while en-route to a maximum security prison, and that's when the shit hits the fan.
The movie also stars Judy Greer as Karen Strode, the daughter of Laurie, and Andi Matichak (Orange Is the New Black, Underground) plays Allyson, the granddaughter.
John Carpenter is an executive producer on the film and is also serving as a creative consultant. He is also creating the musical score.
Halloween will be released on October 19, 2018.
