New Photos and Videos From the Set of THE PEOPLE V. GORILLA GRODD Give Fans a First Look at the Title Character
New set photos have leaked from behind-the-scenes of The People v. Gorilla Grodd, the upcoming DC series in which Gorilla Grodd (Jimmy Tatro) is going to court, and Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo) is digging into the case. The eight episode mockumentary comedy series is currently shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and some onlookers caught photos and videos.
In the footage, Grodd is looking fancy in formal wear surrounded by what looks to be a college a cappella group who are performing on the steps of campus. It’s not exactly what most fans were expecting, but it does look like fun!
The People v. Gorilla Grodd follows a superintelligent ape who is convicted of murdering his father, the King of Gorilla City. In the "true" crime docuseries, the Daily Planet's Jimmy Olsen reopens the case, investigating whether Gorilla Grodd was wrongly convicted in one of Metropolis' most famous murder trials.
Aside from Gisondo and Tatro, the series includes Superman actors Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Wendell Pierce as Perry White. They are joined by Mary Holland, Eduardo Franco, Arian Moayed, Dan Perrault, Andrew Leeds, and Tim Baltz in roles that have not yet been revealed.
Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault will serve as showrunners, writers, and executive producers, with Yacenda set to direct all episodes.
