Netflix has released ten photos from Cobra Kai Season 5 giving us a first look at what’s in store for the highly anticipated return of the series! It’s also been confirmed that Karate Kid Part III character Mike Barnes will be introduced in the new season, and Sean Kanan has returned to reprise his role! They included a photo of him in Karate action.
In the upcoming season, "As Terry Silver calls upon some old friends to put the Valley in a stranglehold, Daniel and Johnny are going to need all the help they can get to stop Cobra Kai in its tracks."
I’m pretty stoked for Season 5 of Cobra Kai. There are a lot of moving parts and a lot of characters to follow. It’s awesome that they’re bringing back Barnes, and I imagine that won’t be the last of the familiar faces that we see.
Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Season 5 finds “Terry Silver expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his ‘No Mercy’ style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.”
Cobra Kai is written and executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. The series also stars Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso, William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Jacob Bertrand as Hawk, Gianni Decenzo as Demetri, Vanessa Rubio as Carmen, Peyton List as Tory and Martin Kove and John Kreese with Dallas Dupree Young as Kenny, Oona O'Brien as Devon, Griffin Santopietro as Anthony, Yuji Okumoto as Chozen and Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver.
