New Photos From DAREDEVIL Season 3 and Details on Matt Murdock Going Full Devil
Thanks to EW, we have three new photos to share with you for Daredevil Season 3 and they come along with some interesting new information about the upcoming season that’s worth checking out.
The first photo features Daredevil (Charlie Cox) suited up and ready for action. Showrunner Erik Oleson opens up about the character and what state we will find Daredevil in when the series begins and how that leads him to going full Devil:
“Matt starts the season broken physically, broken emotionally, and broken spiritually. He’s angry at God, he’s angry at the fact that he had risked his life to do God’s work, and he’s questioning whether or not he was a fool.
Matt goes to pretty much the darkest place you can when he realizes that he’s incapable of being Daredevil, he would rather just end it than go forward in his life without abilities. He’s decided to set aside his Matt Murdock persona and just be the Devil, to isolate the lighter part of himself.”
Yeah, he’s just going to go full-on dark mode. After all the shit that’s he’s gone through, I don’t blame him.
The second image features Matt meeting up with his old friend Foggy (Elden Henson) and as you might imagine, Foggy is shocked to learn that his friend survived. It’s explained that this whole thing is going to cause some issues:
“Foggy has been trying to move on from Matt’s memory, or at least move on with his life. If you thought one of your close friends was dead and he decided not to tell you he survived, you would probably have some issues with that.”
Of course, Matt’s complicated life is going to get more complicated with the return on a "smarter, more calculated, and more manipulative" Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), who is obviously looking to get his criminal empire back up and running and at the same time want to make Daredevil’s life more of a living hell than it already is.
Daredevil returns on October 19th.
