New Photos From Guy Ritchie's KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD

Guy Ritchie is taking a break from Sherlock Holmes movies and heading into mythical medieval times with a new film about King Arthur. The film has gone by many names during its long development, and a new piece in EW says its latest title is King Arthur: Legend of The Sword.

There's a couple of quick tidbits about the characters, including Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam's street-wise king:

“He’s a bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor,” Hunnam says. “There’s definitely a harder edge than people would imagine.”

But the best part appears to be Jude Law's villainous Vortigern, who usurped the throne after killing his brother, Uther Pendragon (played by Eric Bana). And since Vortigern is Arthur's uncle, that basically makes this a Guy Ritchie take on classic Shakespeare (or The Lion King, with Vortigern as Scar). At the very least, it looks like Law will be able to chew some major scenery in this one.

King Arthur: Legend of The Sword hits theaters on March 24, 2017.
