New Photos from the Live-Action ATTACK ON TITAN Movie
Several new photos have surfaced from the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Attack on Titan. The stills feature Eren (Haruma Miura) giving the “offering my heart” salute, Sasha (Nanami Sakuraba) in the middle of kicking some ass with her bow and arrows, and the new character created for the film, Shikishima (Hiroki Hasegama) described as "humanity's strongest man.” The images come courtesy of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine (via Anime News Network).
We’ve heard a lot about the movie, but we’ve hardly seen anything from it in the trailers. It has just been a lot of big teasing, and I want to see more! With the first movie coming out this summer, I’m sure we’ll get another trailer that shows off more footage from the movie soon. Here’s the basic plot of the film:
That day, humanity remembered... More than one hundred years ago, Titans suddenly appeared. The majority of the human race was eaten and civilization collapsed. The survivors of the war built three walls to prevent the invasion of the Titans, and kept the peace by securing the living area inside. In one hundred years, the wall has not been broken... until this day.
There are two planned live-action movie adaptations of Hajime Isayama’s popular manga. The first film will be released August 1st, and the second will hit theaters a month later on September 19th in Japan. There’s still no word on when we’ll see it here in the U.S.
