New POKEMON EVOLUTIONS Animated Series To Celebrate 25th Anniversary

To help celebrate Pokémon’s 25th anniversary, the Pokémon Company has announced a new 8 episode animated series, Pokémon Evolutions, and will air on the official Pokémon YouTube channel and Pokémon TV. Each episode will tell a story centered in each of the Pokémon regions from the core video games, starting with the most recent Galar region and then going from Alola, Kalos, Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and finally culminating in Kanto. Here is a list of episodes and release dates:

  • Thursday, Sept. 9: “The Champion” featuring the Galar region

  • Thursday, Sept. 23: “The Eclipse” featuring the Alola region

  • Thursday, Oct. 7: “The Visionary” featuring the Kalos region

  • Thursday, Oct. 21: “The Plan” featuring the Unova region

  • Thursday, Dec. 2: “The Rival” featuring the Sinnoh region

  • Thursday, Dec. 9: “The Wish” featuring the Hoenn region

  • Thursday, Dec. 16: “The Show” featuring the Johto region

  • Thursday, Dec. 23: “The Discovery” featuring the Kanto region

We also have a trailer for the new series which looks really cool, though I wish we saw some more footage from regions other than Galar and Alola. This sounds like a really fun way to take us through the history of the video games while celebrating 25 years of Pokémon. What do you think? Can you believe that Pokémon has been around for 25 years already?
