NEW POKEMON SNAP and POKEMON GO Crossover Event is Happening at the End of the Month

I cannot wait for the end of the month when New Pokémon Snap launches on Nintendo Switch. I am very excited for this release. I’m not the only person excited though and that includes The Pokémon Company and Niantic who recently announced a crossover event between New Pokémon Snap and Pokémon GO.

Starting at 10 AM local time on April 29 through 8 PM local time on May 2, a new event will take place with new research tasks focused on snapshots, new camera-themed items for your avatar, Pokémon from the Lental region being available, and even a focus on Smeargle.

The “New Pokémon Snap Celebration” will give Trainers the chance to tackle a new type of research task featuring a Pokémon GO Snapshot theme, catch different Pokémon that are found across New Pokémon Snap’s Lental region, and grab new camera-themed avatar items from the Pokémon GO Style Shop.

Trainers will also be able to encounter the Painter Pokémon, Smeargle, by completing certain research tasks and by checking some of their snapshots’ surroundings. For a limited time, lucky Trainers may even find Shiny Smeargle, so be sure to take a lot of snapshots throughout the New Pokémon Snap Celebration event!
