New Poster and Featurette For THE BIG SHORT, Starring Bale, Carell, Gosling, and Pitt
Adam McKay's new financial comedy/drama The Big Short has its world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater at AFI FEST tonight, and I'll be there to check it out. I should have a review up on GeekTyrant sometime tomorrow, but in the meantime, Paramount has sent over a brand new poster for the film that shows off stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt. I'm not a fan of most studio posters these days, but at least it looks like they put a little bit of effort into doing something dynamic with this one instead of making just another boring floating head poster.
The studio also sent over a new featurette that features interviews with Bale, Carell, Gosling, and McKay talking about the director's passion for the subject matter, which, as Gosling says, he's outraged about but also seems to be able to retain a sense of humor about it at the same time.
The Big Short opens in theaters on December 11th.
When four outsiders saw what the big banks, media and government refused to, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: The Big Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything. Based on the true story and best-selling book by Michael Lewis (The Blind Side, Moneyball), and directed by Adam Mckay (Anchorman, Step Brothers) The Big Short stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt.
