New Poster and Premiere Date for Tim Burton's WEDNESDAY
Netflix has released a new poster for Tim Burton’s upcoming series Wednesday featuring Jenna Ortega looking very mischievous in the title role. The poster also revealed that the series will premiere this coming Thanksgiving on November 23rd! I’m excited about this show! Everything that I’ve seen from it looks great!
The series is described as a twisted coming-of-age comedy story about “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
The series also stars Luis Guzmán, who is playing Gomez Addams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones in the role of Morticia Addams, as well as Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa and Moosa Mostafa.
The eight-episode series was written by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar, and it was directed by Burton. All three of them will also serve as showrunners on the series and executive producers.
