New Poster Art for X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Surfaces and a New Trailer Is Coming Soon
While we wait for the new X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer to drop on February 28th, there’s a new poster for the film that has surfaced online for you to check out.
It doesn’t really seem like there’s much excitement for the Simon Kinberg-directed film from the fans. But it’s likely going to be the last X-Men movie that is made under the Fox banner. After this, the next X-Men movie will come from Marvel Studios, which is what the fans are excited about.
Regardless, I do hope that the movie actually turns out good! It would be nice to see a good X-Men movie again. Fox reportedly had Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige come in to review the script and tone for the film, so hopefully that helped.
In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling our of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite - not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.
Dark Phoenix sees the return of James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Grace, and Alexandra Shipp. Jessica Chastain will be taking on the role of a mysterious villain in the story.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be released on June 7th, 2019.
