New PREDATOR Movie to Be Helmed by the Director of 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE
20th Century Studios is producing a new Predator movie, and they have hired the director of 10 Cloverfield Lane, Dan Trachtenberg, to direct the fifth installment of the franchise.
Look, I loved the first two Predator films, but every film since then has been a disappointment. I’ve gotta say, I’m not really that interested in seeing another Predator movie. While I thought 10 Cloverfield Lane was great and Trachtenberg is a young and talented director, I’m expecting another disappointing Predator movie.
The script for the new film is being written by Patrick Aison, whose producer-writer credits include the series Kingdom, Jack Ryan, and Treadstone.
There are no story details to share right now, but according to the report the new film “won’t swing back to the developments in the most recent film.” So, I guess this is just going to be another attempt at a fresh reboot of the franchise.
Are there any story concepts for a Predator movie that you’d like to see?
