New Promo for MR. ROBOT Season 2 Just Answered a Big Cliffhanger Question From Season 1
A new promo for Mr. Robot season two aired live on Facebook recently, and although it doesn’t offer us any information on what is to come in the upcoming season, it does provide an answer to a huge question that we were left with at the end of season one. If you don’t want to know what this entails. then I suggest you not read ahead.
Remember in the ninth episode of the first season when Elliot revealed F Society’s whole plan to the insane corporate hacker Tyrell on how they were taking down his former employer, Evil Corp? Then when the tenth and final episode aired it completely skipped over what happened and went straight into the aftermath of the event? All we saw was that the financial world was in ruins, Tyrell was missing, and Elliot was confused as hell, just like the show's audience.
We were left wondering what happened between episode nine and ten that we didn’t get to see. Well, now thanks to this promo spot, we know a little bit more as it offers us some insight into what happened during that lost time. The video concludes with Tyrell watching the downfall of Evil Corp as Elliot seemingly goes to get some popcorn. But if you were paying attention in season 1, you know that it’s not the popcorn he is reaching for, there was a gun hidden in the popcorn machine.
It’s looking to me like Elliot may have either straight up murdered Tyrell, taken him hostage, or attacked him and run. We’ll find out more when season two of Mr. Robot premieres on July 13th! I love this series, and this kind of marketing is freakin’ awesome!
