New Promo Spot for RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY Puts the Focus on Jill Valentine
A new promo spot has dropped fro Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, and it focuses on the character Jill Valentine. The character is played by Hannah John-Kamen, and in the promo she talks about her character a bit as new footage is shared featuring her.
One amusing thing the promo includes is a call back to the original Resident Evil game when Jill is almost crushed by a ceiling trap. There’s a corny line in the game, “It’s Jill’s sandwich now.” In the promo, at one point, Jill snatches a sandwich from the character Albert Wesker (Tom Hopper) and says, “It’s Jill’s sandwich now.” Yeah, It’s silly, but I still love it.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City takes place on a fateful night in Raccoon City in 1998, “once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”
The movie was directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night), and the cast also includes Kaya Scodelario, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, and Avan Jogia, with Donal Logue, and Neal McDonough.
The movie is supposed to hit theaters on November 24th, 2021.
