2 New Promo Spots for SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 - "The Ultimate Showdown Begins"
Enjoy some new Sonic The Hedgehog 2 action in a couple of new TV spots that were recently shared by Paramount Pictures. The first spot opens up with Sonic jumping into some epic snowboarding action. Then it cuts to various clips featuring other scenes from the film including Sonic’s run-in with Knuckles.
The second promo spot is the one that will be showing during the Super Bowl. It’s the big game spot, and it features a good amount of new footage. Some of which shows Sonic and Knuckles in the heat of battle.
Idris Elba takes on the role of Knuckles, Colleen O'Shaughnessey as the voice of Miles "Tails" Prower, Ben Schwartz returns to play Sonic, and James Marsden will be back as Tom Wachowski, a police officer that befriends Sonic and offers him some sound advice. Then, of course, Jim Carrey is back in the role of Dr. Robotnik.
In the film, “The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.”
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 races into theaters on April 8th, 2022.
