New Promo Spot for THE BOYS Focuses on Karen Fukuhara as a Badass Superhero Killer
Amazon Prime has released an awesome new promo spot for their upcoming hardcore superhero series The Boys. This promo focuses on the character played by Karen Fukuhara, who is known as The Female, and as you’ll see she a brutal and deadly badass superhero killer!
In a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, THE BOYS centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as “The Boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than their blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty. THE BOYS is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes.
The series stars Karl Urban (Star Trek, Judge Dredd) as Billy Butcher, the ringleader of the vigilantes who risk it all to go against a group of all-powerful characters, with Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, and Jennifer Esposito as CIA agent Susan L. Rayner. Elisabeth Shue co-stars in the series alongside Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, and Nathan Mitchell.
The Boys series was created by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen and will be released on Amazon July 26th.
