New Promo Spot for THE BOYS Season 2 Features a NSFW Message From Bill Butcher
We’ve got a new promo spot for The Boys Season 2 for you to check out today. It doesn’t really offer much in the way of new footage, but it’s still a fun trailer that features Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher sharing a NSFW message.
"When you were a lad, you thought they were the greatest thing in the world. What you don't know is that Vought ain't nothing but a bunch of lying greedy c***s who don't give a f*** that their Supes are sadistic f***ing monsters. We're the f***ing Boys. And we're coming for ya."
It was recently announced that Shawn Ashmore was cast in the series and is taking on the role of Lamplighter. He’s a former member of The Seven who also has some ties to Billy Butcher and The Boys.
The cast of the series also includes Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Capon as Frenchie, Karen Fkuhara as Kimiko, Jennifer Esposito as CIA agent Susan L. Rayner, Elisabeth Shue, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, and Aya Cash as Stormfront.
Here’s the synopsis for Season 2:
The Boys are on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie, Mother’s Milk, Frenchie, and Kimiko try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront, a social-media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.
The series is produced by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen. The Boys Season 2 will premiere on September 4th!
