Paramount Pictures has announced new release dates for a few of its big upcoming film projects. Those projects include G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes, Scream 5, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and a new Paranormal Activity movie.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe was moved back from October 23rd, 2020 to October 22nd, 2021.

Scream 5 is set to be released on January 14th, 2022.

Clifford the Big Red Dog is moving from November 13th, 2020 to November 5th, 2021.

The new Paranormal Activity movie has been pushed from March 19th, 2021, to March 4th, 2022.

It’s crazy to see many of these movies pushed back a full year! I’ve been excited about seeing the Snake Eyes movie and was hoping to see it this year, but… you know, that whole COVID-19 pandemic really screwed things up for Hollywood and movie theaters.

G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes is being directed by Robert Schwentke (RED, The Captain), and the cast for the film also includes Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Ursula Corbero as The Baroness, and Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow. The movie also stars Iko Uwais, who is playing Hard Master, “Snake Eyes’ tough as nails teacher who is also a skilled swordmaster.” Then there’s The Expanse actor Steven Allerick, who will take on the role of the father of the iconic G.I. Joe ninja commando.

The G.I. Joe spinoff follows Snake Eyes, “who while on the hunt for the man who murdered his father, travels to Japan and trains with the ancient Arashikage ninja clan.” The Arashikage “worked as shadowy assassins for generations, using deception to earn their keep as ninjas, as well as developing a reputation for being able to perform impossible tasks.”

Scream 5 is being developed by Ready or Not filmmakers Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. They are directing the film from a script written by James Vanderbilt (Murder Mystery, Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man) and Guy Busick (Ready or Not). So far it stars David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, and hopefully Neve Campbell.

As far as story details go, all we know right now is that “it will follow a woman returning to her home town to try to find out who has been committing a series of vicious crimes.”

Clifford the Big red Dog is being directed by Walt Becker with a script from two writing teams consisting of David Ronn and Jay Scherick as well as Stan Chervin and Annie Mumolo. It stars Darby Camp as Emily Elizabeth, Jack Whitehall as Uncle Casey, John Cleese, David Alan Grier, Sienna Guillory, Rosie Perez, Kenan Thompson, and Izaac Wang.

The movie will see “Emily (Big Little Lies’ Darby Camp), who is struggling to fit in at home and at school, discover a small red puppy who is destined to become her best friend. When Clifford magically undergoes one heck of a growth spurt and attracts the attention of a genetics company, Emily and her Uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) have to fight the forces of greed as they go on the run across New York City.”

No details have been announced for the new untitled Paranormal Activity movie.
