New RESIDENT EVIL Clip Features the Reveal of a Massive Zombie Horde
Here’s another clip from Netflix’s upcoming Resident Evil series. The clip features Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska) being shown that she’s unable to leave her current location because it’s surrounded by a massive horde of zombies.
I’m actually looking forward to watching this show. I like what I’ve seen in the trailers, and I hope that it actually ends up being a great series. We’ll have to wait and see.
The story is set 14 years after a worldwide apocalypse caused by a deadly virus in the year 2036, “14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker (Balinska) fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father's chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie." Jade is the daughter of Albert Wesker.
Showrunner Andrew Dabb previously explained that they took "all the games and shuffled them together" for this series. He also promises “a compelling jigsaw mystery stitched together over two timelines.” One of those timelines is set in 2036, and the other goes back to the year 2022.
It’s also explained that, “The all-new series expansion brings the best of the Resident Evil DNA forward – bad-ass heroines, insane creatures (some new/some familiar), a battle for survival and of course, a deep mystery to unravel. Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) expands the directions with fresh storytelling, bone-chilling horror and an action-packed spectacle perfect for summer binging.”
The eight episode series also stars Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuñez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti, and Turlough Convery. Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) serves as showrunner/executive producer/writer with writer and producer Mary Leah Sutton.
Resident Evil is set to premiere on Netflix on July 14th, 2022.
