New Rumblings Point to a Possible Major Storyline for Chris Evans' Captain America in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

Chris Evans’ Captain America was a central piece of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe from the beginning. He tied the Avengers together, and saved the world more than once before his final battle against Thanos and the snap, which lead him to a retirement of sorts in which he traveled back in time to live a quiet life with his beloved Peggy Carter.

This really felt like the end of Steve Rogers’s timeline, but a new rumor claims that he may be back for one more battle in the upcoming Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars. After all, these movies do center around the closing of the multiverse, so anything can happen.

Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, a popular voice in the realm of MCU speculation and news, recently responded to a question on Patreon about Evans’ future as Captain America.

The direct question from user Eme said, “Is this really Chris Evans’ last appearance as Steve Rogers?,” and it was met with a tantalizing answer from Perez, who responded: “Don’t count Cap out just yet.”

This has been rumored since the announcement of the film, and Evans has been recently photographed looking like he’s in particularly good shape, similar to his Captain America physique from years past, so it all seems to point to a distinct possibility we could see him return.

Are you hoping Steve Rogers returns to the screen in the next Avengers films?
