New Rumor Claims Marvel Is Working on HAWKEYE Season 2 With Hailee Steinfeld Taking a More Leading Role
Marvel has struck gold with a few of their Disney+ series over the last few years. Some of my favorites have been Loki, WandaVision, and Hawkeye, and I’m really looking forward to the return of Daredevil, and Agatha All Along.
Other TV projects in the works include Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Ironheart, Eyes of Wakanda, the Untitled Vision series, Wonder Man, the return of What If…? and X-Men ‘97, Marvel Zombies and more.
And if rumors are true, another show may be returning as well. According to The Cosmic Circus‘ Alex Perez, a sequel season of Hawkeye is currently in its early development phase. Perez also revealed that Marvel already has ideas as to how the second installment could pan out.
The debut season of the series marked the last time Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton/Hawkeye was seen in the MCU. Since then, his return to the franchise has yet to be confirmed by the MCU executives.
Another piece of information disclosed by Perez claims that in Hawkeye Season 2, Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop is set to occupy a bigger role in the sequel edition. As such, screentime for Renner’s Hawkeye could decrease by a significant margin in the show.
All of this is, of course, only rumor for now, but I could see that happening for sure. I loved the first season, and I’d be happy to see Hawkeye and Kate Bishop team up again. How about you?
