New Rumor Claims That Hugh Jackman Will Reprise His Role of Wolverine in AVENGERS: SECRET WARS and Beyond
Hugh Jackman surprised everyone when he announced that he was coming out of his Wolverine retirement to reprise the role in the film Deadpool & Wolverine.
He had neatly wrapped his story in the film Logan, and he only returned because this film, which takes place in the multiverse, didn’t impact that storyline.
So it felt to fans that it would be a natural one-shot appearance in the role, but according to a new rumor, we may see Jackman again as Wolverine at least a couple more times in the future.
Industry scooper MTTSH has revealed (via CBM) that a new rumor claims that Jackman will stay on as Logan post-Avengers: Secret Wars, and he is keen to make more Deadpool and Wolverine movies with Ryan Reynolds.
This is hardly surprising given the positive reception and massive success of the movie (it recently passed the $1 billion milestone at the global box office), and we're sure there has already been at least some discussion at Marvel/Disney about developing a direct sequel.
I would love to see Jackman return to the role for as long as he is willing, and for as long as it makes sense for his character. And more Deadpool & Wolverine shenanigans? Yes, please.
