New Rumor Claims to Reveal Link Between Steve Rogers, Loki and The Fantastic Four in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

This week’s rumor about Avengers: Doomsday is an intriguing one. We already know the stacked cast will unite Avengers from all over the galaxy and various timelines for a battle against Doctor Doom, but how each of them find each other at the start of the film is still a mystery. This latest tip may give us some insight on the matter though.

Industry insider @MyTimeToShineH has shared (via CBM) the following theory:

"Sometime after Avengers: Endgame and before the end of Loki Season 2, Loki goes to see Steve, who is living with Peggy and has a son. Loki tells Steve that the TVA is going to prune this timeline because Steve is not supposed to be there and is not supposed to have a child.

Loki offers Steve a way out: he will move Steve and his family to a universe where they never existed, allowing them to live peacefully. That universe turns out to be the Fantastic Four’s universe.

"They live there for years, until the events of Avengers: Doomsday, when Doom arrives to warn the Fantastic Four about the Incursions and tells them they must travel to the MCU to stop them.

“Reed and Doom come up with a plan, track down Steve, explain everything to him and ask for his help. Steve agrees to return to the MCU with them so he can convince the heroes there to help."

This sounds like a solid possibility. We don’t know how all of this would come to be, and we still have to take it as a rumor, but I have a feeling we might get a better sense of things very soon, as the first trailer is set to drop this Sunday during the Super Bowl. Stay tuned for updates.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
