New Rumor Claims to Reveal Tramell Tillman's Character in SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY

Emmy-winning actor Tramell Tillman, of Severance fame, is playing a role in the highly-anticipated next Marvel film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but his character has not yet been officially revealed… until now?

A new rumor from Nexus Point News (via CBM) has claimed that Tillman is playing relatively obscure X-Men villain William Metzger in Brand New Day. The actor has reportedly signed a multi-picture deal "which potentially includes Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men films."

Like his comic book counterpart, this take on Metzger will be an anti-mutant crusader. If this is accurate, it may lend credence to rumors that Sadie Sink is playing Jean Grey after all.

Previous reports have claimed that Tillman's character will be obsessed with hunting this mysterious metahuman down, with Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) stepping in to take her under his protection.

The less reliable, but sometimes on point source Majestic believes this is how Jean's story will play out.

Whether or not these reports are true, Tillman and Sink will star in the film alongside Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Tombstone. Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova is also expected to appear for a cameo.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theatres on July 31, 2026.
