New Rumor Claims to Reveal Which Earth Steve Rogers Is on When We Find Him in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

Fans were stoked to see that Chris Evans is returning to the role of Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, in the upcoming Marvel event film Avengers: Doomsday.

His teaser trailer was leaked, then officially released, which shows the character where we last saw him, back in the timeline he fled to at the end of Avengers: Endgame, where he decided to settle down with Peggy Carter.

The teaser revealed that the pair have since had a child, and it looks as though this time-hopping incident has caused a ripple effect that has caught the eye of Doctor Doom.

Now, there’s word of a new rumor that sheds a bit more light on Steve Rogers’ story, if true. CBM reports that while not confirmed, multiple social media "scooper" accounts are claiming that Steve and Peggy are on Earth-828. That's the home of the Fantastic Four, and could explain rumors that Chris Evans shot a post-credits scene for The Fantastic Four: First Steps that ultimately wasn't used.

Does this mean his presence there created a butterfly effect that led to the creation of the Fantastic Four? It has also been rumored that Evans and a child actor shot scenes in a 1960s-era baseball stadium, which could easily be a part of the retro-futuristic world Marvel's First Family calls home.

We'll have to wait and see, but all of this ties into what we've heard about Steve and Doom possibly being on that rocket ship alongside the Fantastic Four. More may be revealed in a couple of weeks when the first full trailer is set to release during the super bowl. Or maybe it will just raise more questions…

Either way, Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
