New Rumor Claims to Reveal Which Villains We May (Or May Not) See in SPIDER-MAN 4

Fans are getting restless waiting for Spider-Man 4. Not only has it been over three years since Spider-Man: No Way Home was released, but it left us emotionally wrecked for poor Peter Parker.

We are longing to see what his life is like since losing his friends and family. Hopefully we find him better than we left him, but his character will undoubtedly go through a lot more before he finds peace and happiness again.

While we wait a year and a half for his story to continue, since they haven’t shot anything and what they do know is being kept under wraps, all we can do is speculate and debate the assorted rumors that crop up. The latest one has to do with the villains that may or may not be appearing in the film.

In a recent Patreon post from industry insider Daniel Richtman, aka DanielRPK, (via ComicBook), the film was going to feature a couple of familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s past.

“They are still rewriting the script for [Spider-Man 4],” he wrote. “The original version before they scrapped it had Scorpion and Shocker.“ Richtman’s post did not indicate which villains have taken their place.

Shocker and Scorpion both appeared in the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming, the only MCU appearance for both characters.

The former, played by Bokeem Woodbine, was a member of Adrian Toomes’ crew who was arrested after an encounter with Spider-Man. The latter, portrayed by Better Call Saul star Michael Mando, is a notorious criminal who attempted to purchase special weapons from Toomes. He was also arrested; he is seen in prison during one of the Homecoming post-credits scenes, vowing to take revenge on Spider-Man.

These characters, as well as several of the major villains featured in the MCU so far have been members of the Sinister Six, which has been the basis for the theories that we’ll be getting a Sinister Six movie.

But we all know that the last year or two has been a major rebuilding period for Marvel, where they have scrapped old plans, and pivoted in new directions.

So we will just have to wait and see what happens with Spider-Man and his future nemeses.
