Saved by the Bell has been an American TV staple since it first appeared in the form of Good Morning, Miss Bliss in 1987, then morphed into Saved by the Bell in 1989. Since its first run, the series has been in syndication, and is now enjoyed on the show’s original network, NBC’s streaming service, Peacock. And now, we have a brand new Saved by the Bell, with returned cast members, and a whole lineup of new ones that bring us up to date in modern times.

The new series is funny and fresh with the same silliness that endeared us, and notes of nostalgia that keep us wanting more. If you’re one of the many that have enjoyed the first season of the reboot, then you’ll be happy to hear that the series has received an order for a second season! The show will get another ten episodes.

Here’s what writer and executive producer Tracey Wigfield had to say about the series getting a second-season order:

“I’m thrilled that Saved By the Bell has been renewed. I’ve been blown away by all the love for the show and can’t wait to go back and make more episodes. Hopefully we stay on Peacock for many more seasons, and then in 30 years, somebody does a reboot of our reboot and invents the threeboot.”

With how much studios love to bring back old material, I wouldn’t doubt that someday we could get a threeboot! For now though, it’s just fun to revisit Bayside, and it’s great to hear we will be there for at least one more season.
