New Sci-Fi Horror Film Project FRITZCHEN Being Developed By Indonesian Director Joko Anwar

Village Roadshow is producing a new sci-fi horror film project titled Fritzchen, which is an adaptation of the classic 1953 short story by Charles Beaumont, which was published in Orbit Magazine.

Beaumont was an accomplished genre writer, who wrote several episodes of The Twilight Zone episodes as well as the 1964 film The Masque of the Red Death.

The film is being directed by Indonesian director Joko Anwar (Impetigore) and the story examines “a boy’s encounter with a strange creature on the beach.” It also blends "elements of sci-fi and horror.” There are no other details on the film.

Michael Voyer (The Broodmare) is adapting the script and David Kopple is on board to produce for Entertainment 360.
