New SCOOBY-DOO Movie Casts Will Forte as Shaggy, Frank Welker, Tracy Morgan, and More
Warner Bros. is developing a new animated Scooby-Doo movie, and they have cast a great group of actors that include Will Forte, Gina Rodriguez, Tracy Morgan, and Frank Welker.
Forte will take on the role of Shaggy, Rodriguez will play Velma, Morgan has been cast as Captain Caveman, who is not a Scooby character, but who is part of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon universe. Then there’s Welker, who will provide the voice of Scooby.
The story for the film will follow the Mystery Inc. gang as they “join forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his evil plans...and this time, we are told, the threat is real.”
This sounds like it’s going to be an interesting Scooby-Doo movie! Bringing in other characters from the Hanna-Barbera will certainly make things a little more interesting.
Tony Cervone (Scooby-Doo! And Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery) is directing the film which is being produced by Chris Columbus and Charles Roven.
The movie is slated to be released in May 2020.
