New Set Photo From IT: CHAPTER 2 Features Pennywise The Clown Being Playfully Creepy

Here's the latest photo from the set of director Andy Muschietti's IT: Chapter 2. It offers us our first look at Bill Skarsgård, back as Pennywise The Clown, and as you can see he's in a playfully creepy mood. In this new film, he will be terrorizing the Losers Club as they reunite in Derry, Maine to face him once again and try to stop him once and for all.

For those of you familiar with the book, you will recognize a few things in the photo below. Pennywise is hanging out on the shoulder of a giant Paul Bunyan. In the book, he possesses the statue to terrorize Richie. He also took on the form of a werewolf and the witch from Hansel and Gretel to scare some of the other members of the Loser's Club. I can't wait to see the giant Paul Bunyan come after Richie!

The sequel is set 27 years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise The Clown when they were kids. As they've grown up, they've forgotten about what had happened. When bad things start to happen in Derry again and kids begin to go missing, Mike Hanlon, who stayed behind in Derry to keep watch over the town, calls up his old friends and reminds them of the promise they made to come back and stop it if it ever came back.

The movie is shooting in Toronto and the cast also includes Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Jay Ryan (Beauty and the Beast) as Ben, James Ransone (Generation Kill) as Eddie, with Andy Bean (Here and Now) as Stanley Uris, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike.

The original young cast will also return for the sequel for some flashback scenes. They include Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Nicholas Hamilton.

The movie is set to be released on September 6th, 2019.
