New Set Photos From JOKER Show Joaquin Phoenix and Zazie Beetz Out at Dinner
Some new set photos have surfaced from the set of Joker and they feature Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck and Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond out at dinner. Phoenix seems to be having a good old time with that big smile flashing across his face.
Sophie is said to be a hardened single mother who has been beaten down by her time living in Gotham City and she is most likely Arthur's love interest here. The question is, what role will she play in leading Arthur down the dark path of becoming The Joker?

The Todd Phillips-directed film will tell the explorative story “of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale."
Joker is "meant to be different from other comic book superhero movies". The story is also said to "delve into what it took for the Joker to become a mastermind criminal" and rumor has it that the film’s story will revolve around a Arthur Fleck, a failed comedian whose failures lead him into a life of crime.
The film also stars Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, and Marc Maron. De Niro will play a reporter and Conroy will play Joker's mother, Penny.
The studio has set an October 4th, 2019 release date.
