New Set Photos From THE SUICIDE SQUAD Feature Idris Elba, John Cena, and Viola Davis
Some new set photos have surfaced from director James Gunn’s highly-anticipated DC film The Suicide Squad. This latest batch of images gives us our first look at Idris Elba, John Cena, Viola Davis and Daniela Melchior.
Elba is said to be playing the character Vigilante, Cena is playing Peacemaker, Melchior is playing a gender-swapped version of the DC villain Rat-Catcher, and Davis is back in the role of Amanda Waller. As you can see, the characters are wearing their orange prison jump suits.

The rest of the cast includes Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, and other franchise newcomers include Peter Capaldi, David Dastmalchian, Storm Reid, Taika Waititi, Juan Diego Botto, Joaquin Cosio, Flula Borg, Tinashe Kajese, Jennifer Holland, Julio Ruiz, Alice Braga, and Steve Agee.
We still have no plot details to share with you regarding the film, but Gunn has said that it’s the most fun film project that he’s worked on.
The Suicide Squad is set to open in theaters on August 6th, 2021.
